The State of Things
One of my goals for 2024 is to get back into writing.
But here we are, just 15 days away from the end of the year, and I haven’t done much to make that happen. So here it is.
Writing was my first love. At my peak, I could whip up an article in minutes, overflowing with ideas. But my mind feels empty these days—like my imagination has dried up. In fact, this short blog post took me twice as long to finish as it should have.
So what’s the remedy? Write more. Write garbage. Write nonsense. Write whatever.
I once read that creativity is like a muscle—the more you use it, the stronger it gets. And I believe that.
From here on out, I have low expectations of my writing. My posts won’t be groundbreaking or Nobel Prize-worthy. But I’ll keep writing anyway.
I’m letting go of perfection—because really, nothing and no one is perfect.
Practice makes progress. And in the end, that’s what truly matters.
